Every October, we get to look forward to some of the most incredible homes in the Raleigh-Durham area on display at the Triangle’s Parade of Homes. Each weekend for the next two weeks, you can head to any of the homes to see the latest and greatest home trends, decor, and in-home technology. If you are in the market for a new home or if you just love to see new ideas and design trends, then the Triangle Parade of Homes is where you can explore the newest homes for sale, discover your next floor plan, or just find inspiration.

The pandemic has inspired new home trends and many will be featured in the Triangle Parade of Homes.

Some of the builders featured in our magazine have homes on display such as David Weekley, Garman Homes, Meritage Homes, Robuck Homes, and more!

Because of the pandemic, you’ll see a lot of trends that are being incorporated into building as a result of so many staying home over the past two years. Some of these trends include rooms designed specifically for Zoom meetings such as this Garman Homes model in their home on the Parade in Pittsboro.

Between schooling, working from home, and living all under one roof, a lot of desire is there to have different spaces of working from home that isn’t confined to the bedrooms. During this year’s Parade of Homes, you can see direct results of this all over the Triangle.

Garman also added a room for homeschooling, a secret room for self-care, and enhanced their entryway for things like package deliveries and a hand-washing station before entering the house.

With homes beginning in the mid-$200’s all the way into the millions, there’s no shortage of having something for every budget and lifestyle this year. For example, a $2.5 million home from Raleigh Custom Homes boasts a greenway on the rooftop.

This year’s Triangle Parade of Homes runs Oct. 2-3 from noon to 5 pm, Oct. 8-10 from noon to 5 pm, and Oct. 15-17 from noon to 5 pm. Make sure you let us know if you’re going to check out any of the homes on display! You don’t want to miss this!
