Local builder finalizes plans for 38 homes and 44 townhomes

The soaring demand for new homes is getting some help from a regional homebuilder. Baker Residential of the Carolinas announced plans to develop two new residential communities in the Raleigh-Durham area.

The Parc at Edwards Mill will offer 44 one-car garage townhomes in a prime Raleigh location 1 mile from Crabtree Valley Mall and Starling Woods will be a neighborhood of 38 single-family homes located 4 miles from Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. According to Jay Gillilan, Baker Residential Division President, the new homes will give homebuyers the quality construction and contemporary features they’re looking for.

“This year, people have realized the importance of investing in their homes and the added value of new construction,” Gillilan explains. “As a regional homebuilder with experience in creating communities, we have a strong understanding of the lifestyle needs our buyers are looking for.”

Local amenities include House Creek Greenway Trail, Laurel Hills Park, Crabtree Valley Mall, and North Hills, all within minutes of The Park at Edwards Mill.

Baker Residential is offering a choice of two floor plans from 1,675 to 2,100 square feet of indoor living space. Anticipated pricing in the $300,000s, each townhome is designed in the popular modern farmhouse style and includes a one-car garage. The interiors reflect Baker Residential’s commitment to a high standard for quality, detail, and included features.

Baker Residential’s plans for Starling Woods include single-family homes off Erwin Road and Pickett Road, a quiet area adjacent to Hollow Rock Nature Preserve. The Durham location is just 3 miles from I-501, providing an easy commute to Duke University and Health System, and Research Triangle Park.

Starling Woods’ scenic location is in the heart of an area that includes a wide range of parksnature trails, and preserves, a convenient place for people who enjoy outdoor recreation. Shopping, dining, and entertainment are equally available nearby, including The Streets at Southpoint, The Commons at University Place and New Hope Commons.

The neighborhood is limited to 38 residences in order to allow for 75-foot-wide homesites. The floor plans will range from 2,100 to 3,200 square feet. Each one offers 5 different elevations to personalize the home’s exterior. Three of the plans include a first-floor owner’s suite, a desirable feature for today’s homebuyers.
