Saussy Burbank’s Portland Model Stuns

Saussy Burbank celebrated its Grand Opening of the Portland model as a part of the Briar Chapel community in Chapel Hill on Thursday night. Featuring a low country boil and cocktail hour, this stunning new model home’s modern design fit perfectly with the theme of the night.

The Portland is a 1,760 square foot house with three bedrooms and two and a half baths. Double front porches and a detached garage with an optional second floor come standard as a part of the plan in this two-story home.

Known for its tasteful design, Saussy Burbank pulled out all the stops in the Portland model home. On the first floor, tongue and groove “shiplap” wooden walls are highlighted by a stainless steel chef’s kitchen that go perfectly together. As an optional upgrade, a stainless steel island handpicked by the builder can be a part of your kitchen too.

The Portland also is characterized by an industrial sliding barn door attached to the kitchen, right near the custom open shelving unit above the sink. This open first floor brings together a kitchen, family room and dining area effortlessly and elegantly that includes ten-foot ceilings to match.

The stairs leading to the second floor feature contrasting colors, with two large windows that allow for plenty of natural light to seep through. At the top of the stairs all three bedrooms, including a spacious owner’s suite with separate bathroom vanities, are part of the standard plan. In one of the bathrooms upstairs, cultured marble countertops create a tasteful finish.

A lot of natural light can be found in the owner’s suite, along with a secondary porch that can be accessed from the bedroom.

Outside, a walk-up unfinished storage area lies above the detached garage with the option to finish the space in order to have a bathroom.

The Portland is NGBS Certified Green at Bronze Level and is also Energy Star Certified. In collaboration with Saussy Burbank and 505 Design, this model was honored by the National Association of Homebuilders in the 2013 Best in American Living Awards.

As a part of the Newland Communities, living the ‘Briar Chapel life’ is representative of life in The Portland model. As a part of the neighborhood, plenty of open space combined with a clubhouse, a pool and a water park can be found within. A separate fitness center and sports courts are also a part of the Briar Chapel community.

If you’re looking to move to the Chapel Hill area, it’s time to check out Saussy Burbank’s Portland model today.
