Wake Forest’s first ever sprayground will open at Taylor Street Park this summer. The brand new zero-depth sprayground will feature an abundance of water fixtures that will either spray, dump, or mist water for you and your kids’ enjoyment. Once open, the facility will be free to all town residents.

Spraygrounds continue to increase in popularity among local parks and recreation departments as an opportunity for locals to cool off in the summer without paid lifeguards and staff.

According to Ruben Wall, the town’s parks and recreation director, the Taylor Street Park Sprayground may open as early as this coming July. The amenity will be the first completed phase in the department’s plans to open a full aquatic center. The new center will feature a lap pool, children’s pool, and community pool with two waterslides.
